Beyond BaliPosted under: Bali Indonesia News
In the middle of this high season July-August 2010, there are more and more the tourist, especially from Europe such as French, England, Nederland and Germany, who has been visiting Java island. In this case, limited to our car rental customers, they has been visiting East Java. This is a good news as mostly they were just simply visit Lombok island.
Especially for this Bali high season, the number of the pick up of our guest in Gilimanuk Harbour (ferry coming from Java) has been increasing. At least once a week, there was a request from our guest to pick them up at the harbour. It will take a time to go to Gilimanuk harbour from Kuta is about 2.5 hours. This is quiet a long time. It is also quiet far away for the car delivery purpose. For this reason, we usually had to charge for another extra charge for about IDR 100,000.
From what they told us, the place of interest the always visited when they are in Java is Mount Ijen. This the one of interesting place of interest to be visited in East Java. Ijen mountain is located near Banyuwangi, the most east side town in East Java. It is also the nearest city in Java island to Bali island.
Another place of interest in East Java is mount Bromo. Its spectacular sunrise is one of the best view in the world. Bromo mountain is located in the rural of Probolinggo, another city in East Java, close to Banyuwangi about 1.5 hours drive from there.
For the traveller who had visiting Java, they mostly will go also to Bali island. Despite the fact that Bali is still on their top priority to be visited, but Java, and also Lombok, from days to days becoimg more attaractive for the tourist, especially from Europe.
